The ADAPT lab is seeking two PhD students for Fall 2025!

Position 1: Cross-cultural Research

Applicants for this position should be comfortable traveling internationally to countries such as Germany and the Republic of the Congo. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments with children and adults.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, anthropology, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous research experience, preferably with children.

  • Experience working/living in remote locations

  • French and/or Lingala language skills.

Nonhuman Primate Research Focus: Applicants for this position should be comfortable working closely with nonhuman primates such as capuchins, rhesus macaques, chimpanzees, and orangutans. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments with nonhuman primates.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, anthropology, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous research experience, preferably with nonhuman primates.

  • Coding experience in python, javascript, and/or R
